How To - Video Teaching
As we share video teaching messages during One Prayer, we have the opportunity to reach a global audience. Beginning the weekend of June 6-7 2009, we'll dedicate four weeks to discovering more about our Creator through the theme: "God Is _." What is God teaching you about who He is...Provider? Healer? Fortress? Why not consider submitting a video teaching message about what you're learning? The truth God shares through you could very well change a life on the other side of the world!
Below, you'll find a video and some tips to help you develop and record your message for maximum effectiveness. In the coming weeks you can expect further pointers and guidelines for submitting your video message.
Key points from the video
- As you begin your message, looking straight into the camera and welcome people from other One Prayer churches.
- In your references and illustrations, think global.
- Aim for a message length of 30 minutes.
- At the end of the message, pause before you go into a prayer.
- April 28 is the deadline for submitting teaching messages. Don't forget that Easter falls on April 12.
- On May 12, teaching messages will be available for selection.
- Please include Scripture references (e.g., NIV, NKJV, etc.).
- Leave a 3-second pause at beginning of your message to allow time for an intro video to transition into your message.
- Do not include the name of your pastor and church at the beginning of your video. The One Prayer team will add this to all submitted messages in a uniform style.
- Use the available lower thirds for Scripture and message points. AVOID full screen points and Scripture passages.
